Meet Up Mondays
Meet Up Mondays is a national initiative, run by the coffee house in in conjunction with Braintree District Council.
The organisation identified an epidemic of loneliness in society, with as many as 1 in 10 of adults citing the TV as their main companion. To combat this, anyone feeling isolated or in need of a chat is invited every Monday morning, between 10:00 and 11:30, to join us at the coffee house for a free tea and coffee, and to chat with a friendly face.
At the coffee house, we offer a beautiful, traditional afternoon tea experience. These are available on our regular trading days, as a single serving, or for larger groups.
The coffee house is also available for private hire, and afternoon tea parties are one of the many packages we offer. These have proven popular with hen parties, birthdays, anniversaries, and business events, and can be tailored specifically to your needs, be it vegetarian / gluten free options, or Prosecco brunches.
